Phillip Garofolo, aka Generate, has been a DJ since March of 2000. Music has molded his life. Growing up in a family of musicians and playing 3 instruments, usually by ear, Phil showed musical talent at a very young age. As a child, and through his teenage years, he was exposed to great music spanning from Jazz, to 80's rock/pop, old school hip hop, and eventually electronic music. "My musical tastes vary from day to day", Says Phil. "This is also expressed in my djing". "I still remember the first times I heard electronic music. It was like food for my ears… clean, dynamic… I couldn’t stop moving". His desire for the music brought him to the underground, and after numerous outings and crazy ass parties, he decided to take things to a higher level and bought his own tables. Being torn between so many styles of music, Phil has narrowed himself to House and breakbeat. Playing many styles of house, in particular, west coast dub, deep, techy, funky and chunky, and of course the occasional breaks track whenever essential. Phil has established himself and an up and coming DJ in the upstate area with a consistent flow of bookings. He's recently been working in the studio on new material, and a new house mix is scheduled to be released soon. Keep on the lookout for this up and comer!
