We are a team of people who are as excited and interested in working on Kinect as you all are! We have a common goal: to make use of Microsoft Kinect in a way we can improve the way we live life and use it in our daily routine. Kinect has stirred up the grey cells of thousands of hackers and we like to get more “future-hackers” up and running with all the support they need.
With this goal in mind, we cater to their needs and curiosity here on our website. Do visit and enjoy the cool stuff. We have one more website coming up soon that is www.kinect-hacks.org. Do check that too.

This is awesome: http://www.kinecthacks.nl/2011/02/28/make-music-with-your-kinect-and-the-shinect-vst/
What is Shinect ? Shinect is a Midi controller that uses Kinect. It’s written in C++ and runs on Windows (XP/Vista/7, 32 or 64bits). It’s a simple standalone application that uses basic augmented reality with Kinect to send any Midi output messages to any Midi port, physical or virtual, so you can control any software or hardware gear.

Posted - 07/29/2010 : 11:54:19 AM In 1998 Lego introduced the MINDSTORMS product line. The NXT is a brick-shaped computer that can take in sensory input, control motors and most importantly in this case, play back sounds. The NXT-606 drum machine is based on this unit and I must say it sounds pretty good. You can even get a set yourself and build your own.

Posted - 05/01/2010 : 12:35:51 PM A Free, Drag-and-Drop Granular Sample Player Mashes Up Sound
Grain Main Frame is a sound sketch, a one-off piece of software that loads audio files and plays them via several inventive, homebrewed sample players. Via granular techniques, methods of slicing sounds into tiny grains and then re-assembling them, a single sound can be stretched, sliced, and retriggered creatively. The software supports drag-and-drop functionality, as well, so you can drop files and go.
