I just listened to a mix I did 10 years ago and all the songs are still awesome.
post it or GTFO the interwebs buddy |

Posted - 01/08/2010 : 7:27:29 PM plume - I hear what you're saying and I agree. I'm not interested in robbing people blind - but I'd like to check out some new music that other people have and like
I am also not expecting anyone to be interested in uploading 60 gigs of music from my hd to theirs - just to let people know i have that much to choose from for trade. like filesharing but more personal - i could make some recommendations, and so could the other person
i don't mean to be an asshole about it - maybe I'm taking the wrong approach..? |

I trade with folks I know just because, yeah I don't pay for all my music either but... I do like to support the producers as much as possible. If you're looking for a particular tune, or an artist that's one thing but blindly trading a HD worth of tunes is too much for me!

Posted - 01/08/2010 : 11:57:41 AM spaceone, happy to hear you found yerself a lady who loves dnb - it's always a plus to enjoy the scene with your closest mates!!
talk about good old school mixes - freaky flow vol 7 side b!!! fabulous!!!
also i found a sweet cache of mix tapes for free download at http://www.torontoravemixtapearchive.com/studio.html in case you've never stumbled upon it before.

PS - if you've got old mixtapes and are in a nostalgic mood, check this out: http://www.pukkadawn.com/
At first I thought I had died and gone to heaven (Christmas all over again?) - but it turns out the dude has the archives up for sale or trade. Still, it's a sweet collection, and if you've got the interest and ability to trade, why not, right? |

Posted - 01/08/2010 : 03:32:02 AM Wow this is a hot issue how did i miss this. My 2cents is that females dig dnb. I have met some of the hottest and most awesome women that have spun or just have a love for it. the first dnb records i records i got were from a female and it changed my life forever and i lucked out and have a woman that loves dnb! dub step no comment. glitch hop is good when done rite! But what the hell do i know :p |

Posted - 01/07/2010 : 1:20:27 PM i'm a female dnb enthusiast - it is in fact the genre that gets me the most pumped on the floor by far. i can appreciate other edm genres, but dnb is by far my favorite. maybe i'm a guy in disguise?
PS! is there anyone interested in trading music? i've got an external harddrive with 60 gigs of tunes to trade |

Posted - 07/10/2009 : 12:10:17 PM so what glitch hop and experimental hip hop have you been diggin ian?
edit: and i've been out of my hardcore junglist phase for some time. the music that i'm drawn to still has the qualities that got me into dnb in the first place, but has a much broader range of tempo and structure. |

Posted - 07/06/2009 : 7:19:16 PM I think it's a time a place thing for me these days. interests come and go - quality dance parties include more than one genre: for instance we went from a glitch hop/ hip hop set to a really nice liquid/ragga set to a super sick electro/techno/house/dubstep set.
the fact that I can get down to all these genres helps to manipulate more than one frequency. The all d'n'b all the time phase is gone for me. But... there's still room on my plate. I get inspired by music all the time and it goes way beyond 170 bpm break beat culture. |
