well, i hope "they" sort this location problem out soon.. i have, possibly, 6 people waiting to buy tickets..
they want to know where it's going to be before they purchase and i dont blame them one bit.
the line up is massive but, so was the location [for some people]
soooooooooooo...

shitety location change... can't believe they haven't posted anything about it and i wonder how they plan on reaching everyone that has tickets about change of venue?
my guess as to what happened at Orb: people did drugs and owner/local authorities didn't mesh. |

I would hold on and check back in a day or so- If I know Mikey he's running around behind the scenes trying to get everything straight before he makes any announcements and/or updates. Last I heard its all still good in the hood.

Wow, I'm glad we have some kind of a heads-up about this. Crazy stuff. These guys have got to be going nuts trying to get things together. The best laid plans...! Just keep us posted as best you can.
As far as what to bring "sexyvoice," I can suggest a few things. Camp Bisco's website has a good list of stuff to bring: http://www.campbisco.net/09/info.html#what_to_bring
I recommend: NO GLASS (usually never allowed), plenty of water, plenty of drinks (I bring cans of beer and box wine), some ready-to-eat snacks and meals, a tent, a sleeping pad/mat, a sleeping bag, a pillow, PLENTY of warm clothes (even if the weather is supposed to be nice... you never know, and it can get surprisingly cold at night), rain gear, shoes you don't care about, earplugs and maybe an eye shade (to help you sleep in a noisy environment so you can actually last through the weekend!), and BABY WIPES.

Im glad i didnt spend $100 on a ticket...no offense Mikey...but thats the reality of rave promotion...ask anyone old enough to remember the good old days of Senator (Bite Me) Biden and the much remembered "Rave Act" passed in the early 2000's...for example: Disco Donnie and the Freebass Society partys in New Orleans, Louisiana (State Palace Theater)...I remember all too well how almost overnight glowstix and pacifiers became drug related...Its now quite obvious they haven't forgotten us...We are back on their radar and they still HATE us...

I never meant to imply that the event was cancelled...i was just pointing out the similar aspects of the venue drama with another of Upstates beloved venues (100 acre woods).

i had looked at Echo Lake as a venue for "Shangri La II" and even by then the venue and town has had on again/off again issues for years..
To anyone that has a ticket, be patient most of the time promoters will have a backup venue for something this big..
just in case any of you djs feel like whining because you're playing and don't like your slot, maybe you should thank Mikey instead for all he's done getting ya booked to begin with.
