DJ Old ass Numarks that I haven't used in 3 years cause I never have a place to put them Numark Matrix 3 mixer (Crossfader is missing the lil plastic piece)

Posted - 01/18/2011 : 08:49:32 AM the stock clips on intel cpu heatsinks are notorious for breaking... take the time to look up and find a rosewill or other 2nd market cpu heatsink as it's only a matter of time... |

Posted - 01/18/2011 : 06:54:24 AM Yeah those mofos run fast as hell. Then again, all I do with it is FL Studio, VirtualDJ, League of Legends, audio conversion, and some other random crap involving doing a few things at once.
One thing that sorta confused me first time around was putting the processor chip in. I didn't know you had to apply force on the little handle to get the processor in the socket... I was afraid it'd break. Luckily it's working fine. Also putting the CPU fan in was by far the most time consuming and difficult part of the process. |

Posted - 01/18/2011 : 12:23:32 AM that's the way to do it, i did mine the same way in '07 and it ran me around 650-7. Still running XP on it so i don't need to amp it up with more than the 3 GB of RAM i have currently, but i'd like to throw matching vid cards in it and watching the pixels cruise. Those i7 chips are fast as hell in laptops, i'd love to see it run in a desktop with the more efficient cooling and all... |

Posted - 01/17/2011 : 9:46:36 PM Thanks! It was real cheap too, total price was around 1000 (but I bought incrementally so the cost of the CPU/mobo/ram upgrade was only 650, as I already had the video card, HD and PSU). |
